About Us
The staff editors at PerformanceWiki.com have one mission: to distill the massive amount of performance-related information on the Internet to a set of very simple and useful content that benefits the performance engineering group out there. We setup the hardware, software, and apply the performance tuning parameters and measure the results. We then post the tested results here, for free, for you to use. We do not claim that the information posted on this site is 100% useful for your set up: every IT setup is different in some shape or form. So, please apply tuning parameters one at a time, measure, and repeat the process - that is the only way to make efficient use of your existing hardware and software investments. Our staff writers and testers have background in systems and software from IBM, Red Hat, Oracle, Microsoft, Google, Sun, and the Open Source community. We also understand there are a lot of excellent Web sites out there with useful information (though some of them require you to sign up in order to view info), and we are in the business to replace them, but rather, we want to get to the gut of the usefulness of the similar information so that you do NOT have to browse around. Just get your job done! Please send us feedback on how we are doing.
