RSS stands for "real simple syndication." Essentially, it's a way to give you access to specific online content (constantly updated) without having to surf back to your favorite site. Think of it as a direct content feed for the latest tips, command samples, and official tuning guides from PerformanceWiki and producers of the respective whitepapers. First, you will need an RSS reader. This is the tool that collects the news in the background (since RSS is in XML), and warns you that new content has arrived. You can then click the news headline to see a short description of the news item - or click further open the entire original news web page. There are a growing number of RSS readers, and many of them are free to download; some tools are online and ready to use like My Yahoo! and Google, which allow you to simply point to the URL of the RSS feed.
Once you have installed your choice of reader, you'll need to subscribe, by inserting the following "PerformanceWiki.com RSS" url into your reader:
